Hi...I had installed a Ryzen 5 3500 processor on my second system which previously ran a ryzen 5 1600AF...now i am getting an idle temperature of 41 to 44 degree C and a loading/boot temp of 57 to 63 degrees C.....the cooler i am using is a CM Hyper 212X with AM4 socket support. My system specs are: Ryzen 5 3500 6 core … WebDoes stock cooler limit performance in games? I play CSGO most of the time and the temperature is around 80-85°C (around 50-60 while googling etc.). I wonder if I should upgrade and get an aftermarket cooler because CSGO is CPU intensive game and is there going to be any benefits regarding performance?

At idle it sits around 40*C, basic computing is between 50-60*C, and gaming sits at 85*C and does in to the 90s sometimes. Rainbow six siege seems to sit around 95*C and once spiked to 101 briefly. Power consumption is hugely increased, and the stock cooler will have difficulty handling the increased temperatures. If you want to listen to my advice, I wouldn’t bother overclocking this CPU.
Webi just built my pc and the cpu is getting 63.5 to 70.2c idle when i tried to run fortnite it jumped to 95 and stayed there. I added 2 additional 140mm fans to the case to exhaust. It will throttle at 110 as you noted. There are many variables.
