WebSep 16, 2009 · Measure from the base of the flange to the bottom of the float. It should be 8-10mm, no more no less. I had much trouble with mine and had it apart about 10 times trying to fix it. What I ended up needingt to do, I stuck a q-tip soaked in gumout into the float valve hole cleaning around the edge to get a good seal. WebOct 6, 2024 · Now as far as adjustment I believe there should be only two screws for adjustment. 1 is the air/fuel mixture screw. This should be turned until snug and then bring it out about 2 and 1/2 turns and leave it there. The next one is the idle screw and that should be adjusted once the bike is running.

Like Normal says, if you can't get a gauge in, they are too tight.
